Western Victoria features several dry country scenic national parks which incorporate sand hills and numerous lakes, including the amazing Pink Lakes. Nature walks, birdwatching and stargazing are recommended activities. The Mallee country offers a unique landscape to explore.

Heading north from the Grampians, the plan is to visit Little Desert, Wyperfeld and Murray-Sunset National Parks, exploring some of the scenic features each park has to offer, finishing on the Victoria/NSW border, the Murray. Camping will probably be two nights at each of three different locations, then the last camp being beside the Murray River.

This trip may be suitable for camper trailers and small off road vans, check with the trip leader regarding suitability and options. No pets permitted.

The trip ends with sufficient time for the drive across to Temora to join Peter Palmer’s Warbirds Downunder Trip.
