A day trip to Munmorah State Recreation Area, approximately 1 hour north of Hornsby or 40 minutes south of Newcastle.

The feature of the day will be an afternoon visit to a sea cave when the tide is low. Access to the cave requires walking down a rough, unformed track in the bed of a small creek from the ridge to a nearby beach, which will take about 20 minutes each way. From there, reaching the cave itself may require wading through the sea to the access point. More details on registration. The morning will include easy short walks to look-out points and a 1.5km walk through a cabbage tree palm forest.

This a repeat of the trip of February 2019.
