There is a little something for everyone on our late winter weekend away to Hill End. The main theme of the weekend is stargazing and night photography as we’ve coincided the trip with a new moon on Saturday night, but there will be plenty of 4WD action on both Saturday and Sunday, sampling of local produce, chats around the campfire, and the chance to discover some of the oldest Australian mining history in and around the village of Hill End.

We will meet on Saturday morning at Lithgow and head out to Hill End via a river crossing using some 4WD tracks, and stay overnight at the Hill End Ranch. On Sunday we will travel to Orange via more 4WD tracks, ending the trip at Mt Canobolas.

Accommodation will be in unique train carriages, or you can choose to stay in one of the cottages or budget cabins.
