SUMMARY:Batlow Christmas/New Year Camp
DESCRIPTION:For many years the Club travelled to Geehi in the Snowy Mountains to camp over the Christmas / New Year period. We believe we may have found an excellent alternative to Geehi. \nBatlow is set in a beautiful part of the high country and as such\, enjoys lower temperatures in summer making it ideal for summer camping. There are many great drives around the area\, with lots of interesting places to visit\, lots of off-road sections in the forests and scenic drives around the area\, visiting towns like Tumbarumba\, Tumut\, Talbingo\, Adelong\, Blowering etc. Tumbarumba holds a rodeo on News Years Day. \nBatlow Caravan Park has just been fully refurbished and has… \n\nUnpowered sites $25\nPowered sites $35\nCabins starting at $130\nThere are ensuite style amenities and a fabulous camp kitchen.\n\nPlease email John and Tracey Deans if you are interested in joining the trip.

SUMMARY:Australia Day at Araluen
DESCRIPTION:Leigh and I thought it was about time the RRC returned to Araluen\, so I am proposing a base-camp style of trip from Thursday 25 Jan to Sunday 28 January 2024 at our place at Nobby’s Island\, Araluen. \nAs before\, numbers are unlimited\, and although the coming drought may make camping a little hot\, the river should still be in good nick for swimming and water frolics. I will also run a couple of one-day trips involving frequent and very pretty river crossings and some spectacular mountain tracks.  This is gold and bush ranger country. \nThe road into the campsite is OK for caravans with a bit of clearance and showers and toilets are available in the house. \nPlease email Hugh to book in for this trip.

DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a relaxed getaway in the beautiful Snowy Monaro countryside. We’ll be staying in small caravan parks in the historic villages of Dalgety and Delegate. A range of camping sites available (powered and unpowered) plus other accommodation options for non-campers. Using these bases\, we’ll be doing a number of day trips in NSW and across the border in Victoria. \nFor more information on the trip and how to book your sites\, contact Jim Nicholson (note the new email address). \nJust a reminder of our trip grades: \nC – Moderate trip with some sections that require caution. Suitable for new members who have completed Introductory Driver Training. Discovery Sport\, Evoque and Freelander drivers please check with the Trip Leader. \nD – Relatively easy trip.
