SUMMARY:November 2021 General Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Come and hear all the latest Land Rover and Club news at our monthly Club General meeting. This month’s guest speaker is Chris Waugh\, who is the Head of Philanthropy and Community Engagement at CareFlight. Chris will be speaking with the Club about the latest activities and achievements at CareFlight over the past 12 months. \nOur Club has been helping to support CareFlight for the past 20 years with annual donations that have now totalled around $80k. \nA unique link to log into the Zoom meeting will be sent out prior to the meeting. If you haven’t received yours\, please contact the Club President. \nThe waiting room will open at 7:45pm from which members can log on\, test their microphone/speakers\, etc and chat with other members. The formal meeting starts at 8.00pm sharp. \nWhen logging on\, please identify yourself using your name and membership number. It would be advisable to log on early to ensure any technical issues are resolved in a timely manner. Once you have everything working it might be a good idea to turn your microphone off until you wish to say something. \nFor those unfamiliar with Zoom\, refer the user guide on how to join a meeting.

SUMMARY:The New Defender - What's It Like?
DESCRIPTION:Gavan Swift will host a virtual Zoom meeting to discuss the New Defender.  As you will have read in the last two issues of Marque magazine\, Gavan was loaned a new Defender by Land Rover Australia and he put it through a very intensive road test and detailed examination.  This online presentation follows on from Gavan’s published articles and will include a question and answer session.  Greg Pearson will also be contributing to the program. \nThis is a great opportunity for members to learn more about this very important new vehicle.  How does it measure up against current Land Rover vehicles?   Does it meet the requirements our members look for?  You’ll find out on the night so please plan to join us for what promises to be a very interesting evening. \nTo attend the meeting\, members will need to pre register.  To do so\, please send an email to Jim Nicholson and you will be provided with the meeting login details. \nWe look forward to seeing you online.
