SUMMARY:Bridge Creek Historic Land Rover Weekend
DESCRIPTION:Joe Cilia and Family are inviting all owners\, and those with a passion for\, leaf-sprung Land Rovers\, Defenders\, Discovery 1s and 2s and Classic Range Rovers\, to join them in a weekend of activities based on their property\, Bridge Creek. \nThe property has good bush camping and is about 17 kilometres from Mt Victoria and 26 kilometres from Lithgow.  Two toilets will be provided.  Access to the site is possible for camper trailers but NOT caravans. Wood for campfires is available\, but attendees need to bring their own water supplies. No pets please. \nDetails of how to get there will be provided on booking. \nFuel and Basic Supplies are available in the Blue Mountains and at locations on the Great Western Highway to Lithgow. \nFor those not wishing to camp\, accommodation is also available at the above locations\, a short drive from the property. \nActivities \nPeople are welcome to arrive at the property any time after 10am on the Friday. \n\nFriday will be spent settling into the campsite\, viewing the vehicles\, counting rivets\, and peering under bonnets. These activities are expected to continue throughout the weekend!\nOn Saturday the tracks in and around the property will be explored. After lunch a Land Rover quiz and a Swap Meet will be held\, so bring along any bits and pieces that you want to get rid of.\nOver the entire weekend there will also be an “identify the mystery parts” competition.  Prizes will be awarded.\nA short trip will be taken on Sunday morning\, through the spectacular Kanimbla Valley. ANSTO is home to some of Australia’s most significant research facilities\, and thousands of scientists from industry and universities use its instruments every year. \nThe tour begins at 10:30 am sharp\, so please organise to be at ANSTO by 10 am where we will meet at the carpark. The tour costs $15 and will run for two hours\, after which we’ll have lunch at the ANSTO café before heading home. \nPlease note there are conditions of entry – you’ll need photo ID\, and any electronic devices capable of recording must be declared\, as photography or filming isn’t permitted on site. DESCRIPTION:Patrick and Margaret Sutcliffe are inviting all owners\, and those with a passion for\, leaf-sprung Land Rovers\, Defenders\, Discovery 1s and 2s and Classic Range Rovers\, to join them in a weekend of activities based on their property\, Paxina. \nThe property has good bush camping and is about 44 kilometres north of Lithgow.  Two bush toilets are provided\, and there is a shower shed (bring your own shower and water).  Access to the site is possible for camper trailers towed by a proper 4WD (i.e.\, with low ratio and high clearance)\, but NOT caravans. Wood for campfires is available.  Dogs are welcome\, as long as they are kept under control and poo picked up. \nDetails of how to get there will be provided on booking.  People are welcome to arrive at the property any time after lunch on the Friday. \nFuel and Basic Supplies are available from the store at Capertee\, about 14 kilometres away. \nPeople are welcome to arrive at the property any time after lunch on the Friday. \nActivities \n\nFriday will be spent settling into the campsite\, viewing the vehicles\, counting rivets\, and peering under bonnets.
