50th ANNIVERSARY of the ROVER V8 ENGINE

2017 marks the 50th anniversary of the debut of the Rover V8 engine.  It was introduced in the Rover P5B sedan in 1967 and in 1968 in the Rover 3500 P6B.  It powered the Range Rover from 1970, as well as the Discovery and many others.

The Rover Owners Club is holding an event to mark this anniversary at the MotorLife Museum Annual Motor Expo at 80 Darkes Rd, Kembla Grange, near Woollongong. The ROC has invited other clubs and Rover V8 engine enthusiasts to join them there on from 9:30am.  BBQ, sandwiches and drinks available.  Museum entry $10 per car.  See News Page (www.rangeroverclubnsw.asn.au/news.html) for more details.
