BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY AT THE CRYSTAL THEATRE

Join the Limberts for a night of nostalgia, foot stomping and hand clapping at the screening of the 2018 Academy Award winning film Bohemian Rhapsody at the art deco Crystal Theatre in Portland.

Dinner upstairs in a private dining room at 6pm, followed by a short documentary film at 7pm, then the feature film from around 7.30 pm.

Accommodation is available in Lithgow and surrounds. Caravan free-camping is available at Lake Wallace in Wallerawang. Tent camping is available in the Limbert's back yard at East Portland.

Portland is 2.5 hours west of Sydney CBD and about 15 minutes west of Lithgow. It is the home of the Foundations cement silos that have recently been painted by world renowned painter Guido van Helten, as well as many old advertising signs on building walls throughout the town. The Crystal Theatre was built in the 1920's and operated continuously for many years. It was revitalised recently and while the 35mm projector gear is still present and in working order, the projection box has been upgraded to digital. A dedicated small team of volunteers (including the Limberts) run a film screening on the third Saturday evening of each month.
