DRIVER TRAINING PROGRAMME
& TECHNICAL DAYS
The Club Driver Training Programme is a cornerstone of the member benefits provided by the Range Rover Club. Courses are offered from novice to experienced operator standards. All Driver Trainers are qualified Workplace Trainers or highly experienced four wheel drivers. All courses are tailored to meet the specific needs of Land Rover vehicles and are conducted at venues and locations specially selected based in their suitability for each course.
Our core Driver Training Programme consists of five 1 day courses designed to enable a graduated system of skill development. Current Driver Training courses offered are:
  • · Introductory Driver Training - an introduction to the skills needed to successfully drive your vehicle off highway in a variety of terrain types. Ascents, descents, side slopes, water crossings, and what to look for when purchasing your own recovery equipment are all covered in this practical 'hands on' day
  • · Introductory Sand Driver Training - an introduction to the skills associated with the art of sand driving. Techniques for driving on beaches, dunes and sandy tracks as well as sand-specific recovery techniques
  • · Advanced (Recovery Techniques) Training - a 'hands on' course into all facets of recovery. Learn the safe and correct techniques for recovering your or another's vehicle when things go wrong
  • · Advanced (Drive Techniques) Training - a day giving the opportunity to 'put into practise' the skills and techniques learnt in Introductory Driver Training under the guidance of the Club's Driver Trainers
  • · Advanced Sand Driver Training - a chance to further explore the wonders of Worimi Lands/Stockton Beach with the Club's Driver Trainers. Experience the capabilities of your vehicle in more challenging sandy terrain
Members and Nominated Members wanting to take part in Introductory and Introductory Sand Driver Training must hold a current driver's licence of a class appropriate to the vehicle. To enter the Club's Advanced Programme, participants must have completed the relevant Introductory course.

These donations are then used to support worthwhile organisations such as the Royal Flying Doctor Service and CareFlight.
